Last updated: 12 July 2026

Asking parents for tuition fees is the most awkward part of running a coaching class. You don't want to sound rude — but rent, worksheets and your time are not free. The fix is a short, polite, specific message sent at the right time. Copy any of the templates below straight into WhatsApp, replace the [brackets], and send.

5 rules that make reminders actually work

The problem: doing this for 30 students, every month

One reminder takes a minute. Thirty students × two reminders × receipt messages = hours of copy-pasting every single month, plus a register to track who has paid. Most teachers give up halfway — and collections slip.

TuitionPilot does the whole loop in one tap: it sends each parent a WhatsApp fee reminder with your own UPI QR code attached, tracks who has paid, sends the thank-you receipt automatically, and gives you a monthly report you can download as Excel. Parents pay you directly — we never touch the money and take no commission. It works on any phone, in English or Hindi, and it's free to use right now — no card needed.

Frequently asked questions

How do I politely ask parents for tuition fees?

Keep it short, friendly and specific: greet the parent by name, mention the student, state the amount and month, and give one simple way to pay (UPI ID or QR). Don't apologise for asking — it's a normal part of running your tuition.

When is the best time to send a fee reminder?

First reminder 2–3 days before the due date, second on the due date, and a firmer follow-up 5–7 days after. Late morning (10 am–12 pm) gets the fastest responses.

Can I send fee reminders automatically?

Yes — TuitionPilot sends them on WhatsApp (or SMS) with your UPI QR attached, in one tap per student, and marks who has paid. See how it works.
